MEXICO CITY (AP) — A strong earthquake struck central Mexico on Monday, swaying tall buildings in the capital and sending office workers into the streets. The quake rattled nerves in a city already tense from a swine flu outbreak suspected of killing as many as 149 people nationwide.

April 27 (Bloomberg) -- Mexico City was shaken by a magnitude-6.0 earthquake that caused office buildings to sway and prompted workers to step outside seeking safety. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
Fort Dodge officials continue to buy property near First Avenue South and 13th Street to prepare for possible new development there. On Monday, the City Council bought two buildings from Michael Buhr and Mary Ann McSweeny Buhr, of Fort Dodge, for a total of $285,000. One building, which houses McSweeny's School of the Performing Arts at 101 S. 13th St., was purchased for $155,000.
